10 New COVID Case Confirmed on Big Island
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 170 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 88,825. Six new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
A total of 10 new infections were identified on the Big Island. The Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reports 152 active cases and five persons hospitalized.
The state’s seven-day average is now 98 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.5%.

A total of 5,100 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,045 have died.
