UPDATE:

All Hawaiian Electric customers on mauka side of Highway 11 in Volcano Village had power restored Tuesday afternoon.

According to a tweet from the power company, some customers on Wright Road in Volcano & Mauna Loa Estates will continue to experience an extended outage due to numerous problem areas caused by winds & vegetation.

As of 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Hawaiian Electric continued to respond to scattered outages in Puna and Kona. Puna areas include Leilani Est, Nanawale, Hawaiian Beaches, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Ainaloa, Kurtistown, Fern Acres and Volcano. Kona areas include Kailua, Kaloko, Holualoa, Captain Cook and Kealia.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
