Hawaiian Airlines Offers Travel Waivers Due to Intense, Protracted Storms
Due to heavy rains and strong winds in the State of Hawaiʻi creating disruptions in travel, Hawaiian Airlines has issued a travel waiver for its flights to/from/within the Hawaiian Islands scheduled between Dec. 5-7, 2021.
Waiver options are listed below:
- Reschedule a flight at no additional cost:
For those who would like to reschedule a flight with an original flight date between Dec. 5-7, 2021, Hawaiian Airlines will waive any applicable fare difference on the same city pair for travel and same cabin of service. Tickets must be rebooked by Dec. 14, 2021. As part of the carrier’s new policy which began last year, change fees have been eliminated and will also not be charged.
- Cancel a flight and use the value as credit towards a new ticket:
Guests can cancel their flight and keep the unused value of the ticket until the ticket expires*. Upon rebooking a new flight, no change fees will be charged, but a fare difference may apply.- *Tickets expire one year from the original date of purchase, however we have several COVID-19 travel waivers in effect that have varying expiration dates. See full details here.
