22 New COVID Cases Reported on Big Island
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 97 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 84,911. Six new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
A total of 22 new infections were identified on the Big Island Saturday. Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reports 333 active cases, and 13 persons hospitalized.
The state’s seven-day average is now 94 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.7%.

A total of 4,809 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 950 have died.
