High Surf to Remain Throughout Islands Through Mid-Week
Much of Hawaii has seen elevated surf over the last several days, and it isn’t expected to recede anytime soon.
The National Weather Service has again extended a high surf advisory for east-facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands until 6 pm Tuesday. Surf measuring 7 to 10 feet is predicted.
Ocean goers should expect strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult and dangerous.
Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution.
