The Hawaiʻi Fire Department and the Pōhakuloa Fire Department have stamped out a 10-acre brush fire off of Daniel K. Inouye Highway.

The blaze was burning at mile marker 48.5 in the Keamuku Manuever Area. According to PTA, crews extinguished the flames and pre-positioned heavy equipment just in case.

“Thanks to the team of first responders for jumping into action and stopping a potentially dangerous situation,” PTA stated in a Facebook post.
