Water Test Scheduled For South Hilo

The Department of Water Supply will be conducting a fire hydrant flow test on Kalanianaʻole Avenue between the hours of 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2021.

The affected area may experience slightly discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test.

The area of impact will include customers along Kalanianaʻole Avenue between Kauhane Avenue and Kea‘a Street, including Silva Street. This area also includes any side roads and lanes.

Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and to store a container of water for their drinking needs until the supply of water is restored to normal.
