Kea‘au Man Faces Myriad of Offenses After Alleged Domestic Dispute
A Kea‘au man is facing a myriad of charges after allegedly threatening a a woman last week.
Fifty-one-year-old Raphael Solis was arrested on June 27 in connection to a domestic dispute that occurred the day prior in Pāhoa.
According to Hawai‘i Police, Puna patrol officers responded the report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Oio Street on June 26. When officers arrived, they made contact with a 37-year-old woman who was not injured, but reported being threatened by Solis.
Solis was located on June 27 at a residence on Paradise Drive in Kea‘au. He has been officially charged with fourth-degree criminal property damage, first-degree burglary, first-degree terroristic threatening, place to keep pistol or revolvers, carrying or possessing a loaded firearm on public highway, permit to acquire and mandatory registration of a firearm.
Solis is currently in police custody in lieu of $73,000 bail. Solis’s first court appearance is scheduled for today in Hilo District Court.
