The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 116 new cases of coronavirus Sunday. The statewide total is now 33,761. One new COVID-related death was also reported.

Three new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Sunday, per DOH statistics. The state’s two-week average is 69 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.5%.

A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

A total of 2,229 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 492 have died.
