Public Works to Repave Several Big Island Intersections

The Department of Public Works Highways Maintenance Division (Puna Roads) has announced plans to resurface several intersections Monday and Tuesday, April 26-27, 2021.

The road work in question will be carried out at the Ipuaiwaha, Palula, Mea‘ulu and Pala‘ai intersections of Pa‘ahana Street (Kea‘au Ag Lots Subdivision). It will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the dates listed above, weather permitting.

While the work is being performed, motorists may be redirected to alternative routes throughout the subdivision. Traffic control personnel will be on-site directing traffic.

Expect some delays. Motorists are advised to drive with caution through the work zone. Call the Hawai´i County Department of Public Works Highways Division at 808-961-8349 with any questions or concerns.
