HPD Announces Nine Promotions
The Hawai´i Police Department has some new brass among its ranks.
Police Chief Paul Ferreira promoted nine individuals to the rank of Sergeant/Detective effective Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
Detective Anson Caceras, a 17-year veteran, is now assigned to the Area II Criminal Investigation Section (Kona). He most recently served as a patrol officer in Hāmākua.
Sergeant Keith Nacis, a 15-year veteran, is now assigned to patrol in the South Kohala district. He most recently served as a patrol officer in South Hilo.
Detective Tyler Prokopec, a 15-year veteran, is now assigned to the Area II Criminal Investigation Section (Kona). He most recently served as a patrol officer in Kona.
Sergeant Stephen Parker, an 11-year veteran, is now assigned to patrol in the North Kohala district. He most recently served as a patrol officer in Kona.
Sergeant Eric Ontiveros, a 10-year veteran, is now assigned to patrol in the Ka‘ū district. He most recently served as a patrol officer in South Kohala.
Sergeant Aaron Kaeo, a 10-year veteran is now assigned to patrol in the Puna district. He most recently served as a Community Policing Officer in South Kohala.
Detective Kelena Hookano, a 10-year veteran, is now assigned to the Area II Vice Section (Kona). He most recently served as a Community Policing Officer in South Kohala.
Detective Kelsey Kobayashi, a 10-year veteran, is now assigned to the Area II Vice Section (Kona). He most recently served as a Traffic Enforcement Unit Officer in Area II (Kona).
Sergeant Christopher Jelsma, an 8-year veteran, is now assigned to patrol in the South Kohala district. He most recently served as a patrol officer in South Hilo.
