Several Hilo roads have reopened after reports of flooding on Monday, March 8. A flash flood watch is still in effect island-wide through Wednesday.

Hawai‘i County Civil Defense Agency advises while roads are open at this time, be aware that they may close without notice. Drive with caution as rain and ponding water may cause hazardous driving conditions. Do not attempt to cross flowing water in your vehicle or on foot; turn around don’t drown.
