Police Hunt For Hilo Man
Big Island police are searching for a wanted Hilo man.
Authorities have requested public assistance to locate 38-year-old Shayne Kamuela Unea, who has five outstanding warrants for his arrest. The warrants are for bail jumping and criminal contempt of court.
Unea is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He has distinctive tattoos on his face, including one that reads “Waimea-43,” which spans from his right ear to his right eye, a tattoo of music notes below his right ear, as well as a treble clef and another large tattoo on the area of his throat.
Unea is known to frequent several addresses in the South Kohala, Hāmākua, and Hilo districts. He is also known to operate several different vehicles, including a white-colored Honda Accord and a white-colored Toyota 4Runner, both with unknown license plates.
Police caution members of the public not to approach Unea and to immediately contact police.
