HPD Seeks Teenaged Runaway
Big Island police are looking for a teenaged runaway.
HPD is asking for the public’s assistance to locate 13-year-old Daniel Soares of Mountain View, who was reported as a runaway.
Soares was last seen on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 25, 2021, in the Fern Acres subdivision in Mountain View. He is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 100 to 120 pounds, with reddish brown hair and brown eyes. Soares was last observed wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and unknown colored shorts.
Police ask anyone with information on Soares’ whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at (808) 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
