Police Ask For Help Finding Brother, Sister

Big Island police are asking for the public’s help locating a brother and sister who have been missing from their Hilo home since early March.

Mariah Akima, 16, is described as 5-foot-2 and 122 pounds . She was last seen wearing a black sweater and black jeans when she was last seen March 2.

Her brother, Zachary Akima, 15, is 5-foot-6 and 120 pounds. He was wearing black and blue surf shorts, a black cap and a red, black and white plaid jacket. He was last seen March 3.

Both have brown hair and brown eyes and are of Hawaiian descent.

Anyone with information about either teenager is asked to call the police department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.

 

Mariah Akima has been missing since March 2 and her brother since March 3.
