UPDATE: Tropical Storm Kiko Slowly Treks Westward

5 PM: KIKO MOVING NW
The center of Tropical Storm Kiko is located near latitude 18.3°N, longitude 130.5°W, about 1,365 W of Baja.
Kiko is moving toward the northwest near 5 mph. A westward motion is expected on Saturday followed by a west-southwestward motion through early Monday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph with higher gusts. Slow weakening is forecast during the next several days.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles from the center.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 29.44 inches.
11 AM: KIKO CONTINUES ITS SLOW JOURNEY ACROSS THE EASTERN PACIFIC
The center of Tropical Storm Kiko is located near latitude 17.9°N, longitude 130.8°W, about 1,395 miles west of Baja.
Kiko is moving toward the northwest near 6 mph. A turn toward the west is expected tonight, followed by a turn toward the WSW over the weekend.
Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is forecast for the next several days.
According to NOAA graphics, TS Kiko will cross into the Central Pacific Basin (140°W) sometime Monday.

5 AM: KIKO ON THE UPSWING
The center of Tropical Storm Kiko is located near latitude 17.7°North, longitude 130.2°W, about 1,360 miles WSW of Baja.
Kiko seems destined to continue weaving its way slowly westward through early next week.
Kiko is moving toward the NNW near 6 mph. A turn toward the west is expected tonight, followed by a turn toward the WSW over the weekend.
Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 60 mph, with higher gusts. Slight additional strengthening is possible today, but only small changes in intensity are expected during the next several days.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles from the center.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 29.50 inches.
