A section of Lihiwai Street in Hilo located within Lili‘uokalani Gardens between the entrance to Mokuola (Coconut Island) and the isle’s parking lot will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian through-traffic from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, from Monday to Friday, May 20 to 24, 2019, for debris removal.

Access to Mokuola (Coconut Island) via Keli‘ipio Place and access to the parking area at the southwest end of the Lili‘uokalani Gardens (commonly known as “Isles”) will be open during these times.

Likewise, most of Lili‘uokalani Gardens will remain open, with some areas along Lihiwai Street closed to park users by safety barricades.
