Stroll Ali`i Drive and enjoy the concert that will start at 5 p.m. at Emma’s Square (across from Hulihe`e Palace). This talented duo has received multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards for their four CD releases including the coveted Haku Mele award. Kokua Kailua welcomes these life-long students of Hawaiian language as they perform their own original songs in addition to the time-honored favorites.

The beautiful dancers of Halau Ka‘eaikahelelani, under the direction of Kumu Hula Yuki Ka‘ea Lyons and Lily Kahelelani Lyons Dudoit, close out September’s musical happenings with the popular Hawaiian Sunset Saturday set for Sept. 29 at 5:30 p.m. on the lawn at Coconut Grove Marketplace. Bring along a lawn chair or beach mat, but no coolers are allowed.

This monthly free community event celebrates Kona’s spectacular sunsets. As Hawaiian Sunset Saturday comes to a close, attendees are invited to extend the evening at one of many nearby restaurants.
