What film did moviegoers in the Aloha State love most during the 90s? According to a new report by Frontier Bundles, the answer is Jurassic Park.

Crucial scenes from the blockbuster 1993 film were shot on the island of Kauai over three weeks. Filming was delayed for a day when Hurricane Iniki plowed directly overhead. The torrential rain and wind gusts were captured on film and incorporated into the final movie.

Frontier Bundles’ data team drew their conclusions by looking at the highest-grossing films between 1990 and 1999, and using Google search data to determine which films are still sought after in 2018. Hawaiʻi residents searched for Jurassic Park more than any other U.S. state.
