Carl Eldridge
January 14, 1944 – July 3, 2018
He retired as a police officer from the Maui Police Department.Carl is survived by his wife, Maxine N. Eldridge; daughters, Tamara (Mizue) Eldridge, Michelle Eldridge, Tasha (James) Eldridge, Kaluhiaaloha Eldridge; grandchildren, Kiyozo, Tevarua, Tenania, Yurika, Keishiro, Maxine.
Memorial Services will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints- Kahului Stake Center on the corner of Lono and Kamehameha Avenue. Service at 11 a.m.
George Almeida
March 9, 1928 – June 30, 2018
George was drafted in the US Army as an 11B, Infantryman and he retired after 30 years of service as an E-9, SGM. During his tenure he served two tours in Vietnam receiving a battlefield promotion to 1SG with B Co 1-27th INF 25th ID, Wolfhounds. He was awarded two purple hearts for injuries he received in combat and four bronze stars, one with valor for heroism. He retired in Maui in 1980 and enjoyed crabbing, fishing and gardening.George is survived by his son, Giles Almeida and family, as well as two other sons; two daughters and seven grandchildren.He is predeceased by his wife, Mildred Limaloaokalani Kealanahele Almeida.
Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului. Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with burial to follow at 1 p.m. at Maui Veteran’s Cemetery.
Georget L. Pacubas
November 24, 1928 – June 28, 2018
Georget L. Pacubas, 89 of Kahului, passed away on June 28, 2018 in Kahului. She was born on November 24, 1928 in Ilocos Sur, Philippines.Visitation from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Christ the King Church; service will begin at 7 p.m. Visitation again at Christ the King Church at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, Mass 11 a.m., followed by burial at 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park. Georget retired as a landscaper.
She is survived by her son, Roland (Maricar) Pacubas; daughter, Stella P. Pagatpatan; sister, Maria Lopez of the Philippines; hanai son, Fidel (Noli) Lopez; and grandchildren, Cheyna-Ann Alycia Pagatpatan, and Tara-Ann Marie Pacubas. Georget is predeceased by her husband, Pedro Pacubas; and son, Roy Pacubas.
Jenila Aisen
December 20, 1959 – June 28, 2018
Jenila is survived by spouse, Laet Aisen; sons, Jienty (Meria) Aisen, Nesa (Honey) Aisen, and Lasen (Helintha) Aisen of Marshall Island, Silon (Missy) Aisen of Colorado; daughters, Wutko Aisen of Hilo, Moana (Banton) Nathan of California, Naomi (Anta) Aine of Washington and Grace (Jobane) Aisen of Marshall Island; 15 grandchildren and numerious aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kiwae Hokama
February 10, 1927 – June 18, 2018
Kiwae Hokama, 91 of Lanai City, passed away on June 18, 2018 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born on Kauai on February 10, 1927. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Ballard Family Mortuary with visitation starting at 3 p.m.
Kiwae retired from First Hawaiian Bank where she worked as a bank teller.She is survived by her son, Riki Hokama; daughter, Joy (Barry) Helle; sisters, Chiyoko Hashimoto and Doreen Inazu both of Kauai; grandchildren, Jordan and Trent Helle; and great-grandson, Kasen Helle. Kiwae is predeceased by her husband, Goro Hokama.
