Reyn Spooner Contributing 15% of This Weekends Funds to ‘Aloha for Hawai‘i Fund’
Reyn Spooner will donate 15% of the proceeds of all of its in-store and online sales on Saturday, May 19, and Sunday, May 20, to the Aloha for Hawaiʻi Fund, following recent natural disasters on Kaua‘i and Hawai‘i Island.
“With stores on both Kauaʻi and Hawaiʻi Island, it’s important to us to support the communities that have been most affected by the floods and volcanic activity,” said Lynne Koplin, chief executive officer of Reyn Spooner. “As the events continue to unfold, our hearts go out to those who are coping with the aftereffects of the disasters. We hope that our contributions will help make a difference in the rebuilding process.”
Earlier this month, First Hawaiian Bank established the Aloha for Hawaiʻi Fund, which supports relief efforts for the volcanic eruption on Hawaiʻi Island and recovery efforts for the flooding on both Kauaʻi and East Oʻahu. One hundred percent of the funds donated support The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services in Hawaiʻi to provide direct assistance to those impacted by these natural disasters.
Reyn Spooner has seven stores in Hawaiʻi, including stores at Queens’ MarketPlace on Hawai‘i Island, Kukui‘ula on Kauaʻi, and Ala Moana Center, Kahala Mall, Sheraton Waikiki, Ka Makana Ali‘i and Downtown Honolulu on Oʻahu. Shoppers can also participate in the Aloha for Hawaiʻi fundraiser by making a purchase at ReynSpooner.com.
