Safety Beacons to be Installed on Ainako Avenue
The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works Traffic Division and its contractor T&T Electric, Inc. will be installing school zone beacons as part of the EB DeSilva and Kaūmana Baptist Church Keikiland School Zone Safety Project, on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather conditions permitting.
Work involves installing three school zone beacons and a rectangular rapid flashing crosswalk beacon on Ainako Avenue on designated areas between the intersection with Kaūmana Drive and with Pohu Street.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and to drive with caution. Special off-duty police officers will facilitate traffic movement during intermittent one-lane closures and provide travel in both directions through the work area.
The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the community for their patience and understanding.
