Pāhoa on Hawai‘i Island has been named among the 15 Best Affordable Warm Winter Vacations in the U.S. by flipkey.com, a TripAdvisor company.

Touted for its non-touristy atmosphere and affordable excursions like snorkeling and rainforest hikes, the small Hawai‘i Island town ranked number nine on the Flipkey list.

According to the listing, the average weekly rate for a two-bedroom rental in Pāhoa is $982. Pāhoa was listed ahead of Cocoa Beach, Florida (average weekly rate of $1,055 for a two-bedroom rental) and behind Golden Isles, Georgia (average weekly rate of $963 for a two-bedroom rental). Davenport, Florida topped the list with an average weekly rental rate of $686.
