There will be original paintings, prints, jewelry, arts, crafts and more available on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be pets on-site and available for adoption.

High-Fire Hawaiʻi fires their gallery work in a gas-fired updraft kiln they constructed themselves to meet their specific needs. The majority of their pieces are fired to Cone 10 (2,350 degrees Fahrenheit) in a reduced atmosphere. Firing in reduction is a process in which the kiln is deprived of oxygen at a critical point in the firing. This forces the intense combustion to strip oxygen molecules from the metallic oxides present in many of the glazes. The finished piece exhibits variations in color and depth that range from subtle to dramatic. The careful attention to the selection of glaze, clay body and process results in examples of ceramic art.
