Hawai‘i Island Festival Celebrates Artists of All Abilities

The second annual Pua Na Pua Art Festival has been announced by Full Life Hawaii, Abled Hawai‘i Artists (AHA) and Donkey Mill Art Center. The festival is about empowering people of all abilities to explore self-employment through the arts.

The festival will take place in Keauhou Shopping Center’s Center Courtyard on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This art fair is the first of its kind in West Hawai‘i and will inclusively celebrate the contributions of both developmentally-disabled (DD) and non-DD artists, with booths available to artists of all abilities.

The event will feature arts, crafts, and artisanal items, live music, demos, a silent auction and more.

This year for the first time, feature work made especially for the festival by Full Life and AHA participants in workshops hosted by Donkey Mill Art Center will be available. They created framed prints, cards, ornaments, pendants, earrings and key chains with a common “heart” theme.

Keauhou Shopping Center is located at 78-6831 Ali‘i Dr. in Kailua-Kona.
