Moon and Temple Benefit Dinner
Temple Children is mixing remarkable food and art for a great cause at its first ever Moon and Temple dinner which will take place Saturday, Nov. 12 and 19, from 6-10 p.m. at Moon and Turtle on Kalakaua Street.
The intimate benefit dinner will feature a locally-sourced seafood dinner prepared by Chef Mark Pomaski of Moon and Turtle, and Chef Ernie Gray of Poke Market.
The five-course dinner will feature seasonal Big Island fare prepared in the five cooking styles of Japanese cuisine: raw, steamed, grilled, fried and simmered. Each course will be presented on custom Shun Tzukazaki Ceramics and served with drink pairings by Soni Pomaski.
All proceeds will support Temple Children’s upcoming mural projects in Downtown Hilo, slated for mid-November.
Cocktails and live music will follow the dinner. Tickets include a one-of-a-kind Shun Ceramics omiyage to commemorate the experience. Seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased here.
Since December 2015, Temple Children has brought globally renowned artists to Hawaii Island to paint large-scale, sustainability themed murals in an effort to beautify and revitalize the Hilo community.
