Three-Day Book Sale at Hilo Public Library

Friends of the Library in Hilo will host their semi-annual book sale on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26, 27 and 28, at the Hilo Public Library located at 300 Waianuenue Avenue.

The sale will feature thousands of hardcover and paperback books available for $1 and fifty cents, respectively. Children’s books will be sold three for $1. The event will also offer hundreds of CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes and vinyl records for $1 to $2 each.

The sale will happen on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Friends of the Library members are eligible to shop a day early on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Non-members may join the preview night for $10.

All proceeds from the book sale will support programs at the Hilo Public Library and the Friends of the Library scholarship fund.
