South: Surf heights are expected to be waist/chest high today. The best breaks will get up to shoulder high or more. Spots around South Point could be overhead on the sets.

Tropical swell is possible next week from Sanvu in the West Pacific. We will keep an eye on it and watch as this system develops.

Surf along south facing shores is expected to fill in today up to advisory levels and hold from Thursday through as long as Saturday before slowly trending down through the second half of the holiday weekend and into early next week.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
