Carlsmith Ball Lawyers Recognized

Carlsmith Ball attorney Kathy Garson from Hilo has been elected to partner, effective July 1, 2017. She was elected along with her colleagues Melissa Lambert, Kenji Price and David Ross.

In addition, twenty-eight attorneys from Carlsmith’s Hawai‘i offices have been selected for inclusion in the 2018 edition of Best Lawyers in America.

Among the attorneys listed, eight were distinguished as Lawyer of the Year, a designation given to a single attorney in each practice group by metropolitan area. Attorneys were listed across 30 practice areas, with two-thirds of the attorneys selected in multiple practice areas.

According to the publication, Best Lawyers is the oldest and most esteemed peer-review publication. Inclusion is based exclusively on merit, and signals excellence and professionalism in the ranked practice areas.

This year’s guide is the product of exhaustive peer-review surveys where Carlsmith attorneys were confidentially evaluated by their professional peers. The result is an unbiased ranking of leaders in the legal industry.
