North Hawai‘i Hospital Adds New Women’s Center Provider
North Hawai‘i Community Hospital has welcomed a new provider to its Women’s Center.
Luisa Lucero is a registered nurse and certified nurse midwife. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northern Arizona University, her master’s degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University, and holds a certificate in midwifery.
Lucero has worked as a labor and delivery and ob-gyn clinic registered nurse for over 15 years, and as a midwife for the past three years on O‘ahu. She believes in empowerment through education and specializes in breastfeeding support and problem evaluation.
Lucero joins the team of three physicians and two midwives who make up the North Hawai’i Health & Wellness Women’s Center.
She and the other Women’s Center providers welcome patients of all ages throughout the island.
The hospital is located at 67-1125 Māmalahoa Highway in Waimea.
