Big Island Surf Forecast
Hilo side: Surf heights are expected to be ankle/waist high today.
Kona side: Wave heights are expected to be waist high today. The spots catching the swell could get a bit bigger on the sets. Flat for many Kona breaks not catching the swell.
South: Wave heights are expected to be waist high today. The spots catching the swell could get a bit bigger on the sets. Best bet is South Point.
Trade wind swell continues but is jumbled and messy.
Nothing significant is expected out of the South Pacific in the near term. A mix of small south-southeast swell and southwest swell continues through the weekend. There could be a possible increase in swells for the second half of the month.
Nothing significant expected out of the North Pacific.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
