KHS Offering ‘Yoga On The Farm’
Kona Historical Society invites the public to start off their Fridays with Yoga On The Farm at the Kona Coffee Living History Farm in Captain Cook.
This weekly outdoor hatha yoga class is accessible to all experience and age levels, and participants can expect many familiar poses like sun salutations, the warrior series, cat, cow, downward dog and child’s pose.
Elizabeth “Liz” Aschenbrenner teaches Yoga On The Farm. She is a certified yoga instructors who has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. She aims to help participants connect with their breath while developing strength, mobility and stability. Though her classes are suitable for all body types and fitness levels, she recommends that participants check with their doctor before starting a new physical regimen like yoga.
Some yoga mats are available to newcomers at the class, but regular attendees are encouraged to bring their own mats. All participant get a free cup of 100 percent Kona coffee.
Classes cost $10 each for nonmembers, and all proceeds support KHS’s education and outreach efforts. These classes are drop-in, with no reservations necessary.

- March 10 from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
- March 17 from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
- March 24 from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
- March 31 from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
