Looking Ahead
Winds are transitioning to light and variables Friday as a front approaches from the northwest. This front is forecast to move across most of the state over the weekend before stalling near the Big Island early next week. An increase in showers is forecast to accompany passage of the front. Behind it, very strong trade winds are forecast for the state this weekend.

We have variable winds today from 5 to 15 mph with high temperatures from 79° to 84°. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for windward and mauka spots with scattered morning showers and party cloudy skies and isolated showers in the afternoon. Mostly sunny skies for the Kona side with some clouds building in the afternoon.
