Looking Ahead
Moderate to breezy trade winds are forecast through Wednesday night. The trades are expected to ease a bit on Thursday and become light and variable Thursday night and Friday as a front approaches from the northwest. Showers will be limited to mainly windward and mauka spots. A front is expected to push down the island chain Friday night through Saturday night, stalling near the Big Island through early next week. The front will bring increased showers to windward and mauka spots with some of the showers pushing into leeward spots from time to time. Strong trade winds are expected this weekend before dropping off a bit early next week.

We have northeast winds today from 15 to 30 mph with high temperatures from 79° to 84°. Mostly cloudy skies are forecast for windward and mauka spots with scattered morning showers and party cloudy skies and isolated showers in the afternoon. Mostly sunny skies for the Kona side with some clouds building in the afternoon with isolated showers.
