Looking Ahead
Trade winds will remain strong and gusty through Saturday, then ease a bit Sunday through Monday before increasing once again Tuesday through the middle of next week. Trade showers will primarily affect windward coasts and slopes through the period, but will occasionally spread to leeward areas. Showers should be somewhat less active Friday through Saturday as a drier airmass moves over the state. The showers are then expected to increase in coverage once again Saturday night into Sunday as the remnants of a dissipated front pass through. Fairly typical trade wind showers are then expected Sunday night through early next week, before becoming more active for the middle and latter part of next week as an upper level disturbance moves overhead.

Hazy for the Kona side with with clear skies in the morning and building clouds in the afternoon and isolated showers. High temperatures from 80° to 85°. Winds will be out of the northeast from 15 to 30 mph, gusting to 50 mph.
