Pacific Media Group Hires New Sales GM
Pacific Media Group has hired Marc W. Miranda as general sales manager for its Hilo and Kona operations.
PMG is a Hawai‘i-based media company with offices in Hilo and Kona on the Big Island, and in Kahului, Maui.
Miranda will oversee management of PMG’s account executives in Hilo and Kona.
“With Marc’s deep roots on Hawai‘i Island, along with his impressive leadership and management credentials, it is with great excitement we announce him joining Pacific Media Group as our general sales manager,” said PMG COO Jack Dugan.
“The media landscape has been changing and Pacific Media Group is responding with additional media products, and a more robust team of professionals,” said Dugan. “Having a well-respected businessman like Marc join our team aligns well with our growth strategy. We are very proud to have him join Pacific Media Group.”
Before joining PMG, Miranda worked at First Hawaiian Bank as sales manager and personal banking officer.
Prior to that, Miranda was Gov. Linda Lingle’s liaison for East Hawai‘i County.
His experience also includes serving as the head coach for the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo women’s soccer program.
In addition to his professional experience, Miranda is involved in his community. He previously served as president of the Hawai‘i Island Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, board member of Hawai‘i Island Junior Achievement Program and as a member of the Hawai‘i Island Chamber of Commerce.
“I am excited for this new endeavor to bring my knowledge of the local business marketplace, our unique Hawai‘i Island community and fresh ideas to Pacific Media Group,” Miranda said. “I am thankful for this opportunity with PMG and look forward to contributing to the continued growth and excellence in media and communications.”
Miranda has a Bachelor of Science in mass communications from Missouri Valley College.
He is a proud “local boy” from Honoka‘a and a St. Joseph Catholic School graduate.
He is married to Dr. Chrissy Capati. They have two children.
PMG owns and operates 14 radio stations, HawaiiAirportAdvertising.com, MauiNow.com, BigIslandNow.com and multiple websites, app and digital radio products.
