Four Men Arrested on Robbery Charges
Four men were arrested in connection with a robbery on Wednesday, Oct. 19, in Honomū.
One of the suspects reportedly befriended a 38-year-old homeless man at the Downtown Hilo bus terminal and offered him a place to stay.
The three male occupants of a car drove the other two men to Honomū, where the victim was told to secure the trunk, into which he had put all his possessions.
When the victim returned to the car, the doors were locked.
As the victim attempted to prevent the car from leaving, the car ran into the victim, causing minor injuries and noticeable damage to the vehicle.
The suspects let the victim back into the car, where he was punched and threatened with a knife.
