wonderland-flyerParker School Dramatiques will present Dorothy In Wonderland, a new twist on two classic tales, as the school’s fall production on Nov. 4, 5 and 6.

The worlds of Oz and Wonderland collide in this delightful, clever and carefully adapted play from the works of L. Frank Baum and Lewis Carroll. Dorothy is at the end of the Yellow Brick Road, but before she can hop into the wizard’s balloon, another tornado appears over the Emerald City, sweeping Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Lion away to Wonderland. They also must face a dangerous new foe—the Queen of Hearts. Dorothy and Alice team up against the Queen of Hearts to return Wonderland to normal and find their way home.

Dorothy In Wonderland will be performed by Parker students in the school’s historic theater on:

  • Friday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m.

Children of all ages are invited to attend this production.

Tickets are available at the door: $10 for general admission, $5 for all students; ages 3 and under free.

New this year is a special “dress-up discount.” Attendees who come to the play as a fairy tale character will receive $1 off (limit one discount per person, per performance).

The Parker School theater is located at 64-1225 Lindsey Road in Kamuela.

Parker School’s Dramatiques is the school’s after-school drama program, which consists of nearly 60 students in grades six through 12, who offer two community productions each year.

Parker students are involved in both onstage and behind-the-scenes aspects of this production.
