Lūʻau, Entertainment, Hula Under the Stars
The Kailua Village Business Improvement District will hold its Third Annual Historic Kailua Village Lūʻau Saturday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m. on the oceanfront grass at the Kona Inn.
The evening will include a traditional Hawaiian lūʻau dinner, entertainment by Hālau Kalaakeakauikawekiu with direction by Kumu Hula Kenneth “Aloha” Victor, and music by Iwalani Hoomanawanui and friends.
“Our aim is to celebrate a special Hawaiian evening by the sea and keep the price within reach,” explained Riley Smith, president of the Kailua Village Business Improvement District. “Too often, we are wrapped up in daily responsibilities and we don’t take enough time to enjoy where we live with our friends and family. Our Historic Kailua Village Lūʻau is an opportunity to enjoy traditional Hawaiian food and entertainment in a perfect oceanfront setting. The Historic Kailua Village Lūʻau is very popular with both local residents and visitors.”
Individual tickets are $45 each. Reserved tables of 10 for $400 per table are available in limited quantity. Tickets are available online.
The event is sponsored by the Kailua Village Business Improvement District, Hawai‘i Tourism Authority, County of Hawai‘i, Big Island Honda, Kona Commons and Courtyard Marriott Kona Beach Hotel.
