Looking Ahead
Slight decrease in trade wind speeds and direction more easterly than normal. Note that a slightly enhanced pocket of moisture may cause an increase in trade showers over the windward Big Island and Maui into Thursday. Thereafter, moderate to at times locally breezy trade winds will dominate through the upcoming weekend. Low clouds and showers carried by the trades will remain focused over windward and mauka areas, with showers occasionally passing over leeward sections of some islands.

We expect sunny skies in the morning with mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers in the afternoon for the Kona side. Occasional showers in the morning for the Hilo side with showers likely in the afternoon. Light and variable winds are expected up to 15 mph. Gusts upwards of that could occur on the northeast side. High temperatures from 80° to 85°.
