Free healthy food, live entertainment, activities for the kids, dancing, raffles, and prizes are also slated during the anniversary event.

“For nearly 50 years, we have had the opportunity to serve our community, beginning in 1966 as the Hamakua Infirmary, later known as the Hamakua Health Center, and most recently Hamakua-Kohala Health,” event organizers said. “Walk down memory lane and see some cool old photos. Visit with us and help us remember all the dedication and commitment of the HKH doctors, nurses, and staff.”

In the weeks leading up to the event, organizers are seeking old photos from the Infirmary to the present HKH centers. Anyone with photos they are interested in sharing should call Shani “Kai” Gacayan at 930-2759 or e-mail [email protected] by May 23.
