UH-Hilo’s Gaspar Earns All-NFCA First Team Regional Honor
University of Hawai’i at Hilo sophomore Bailey Gaspar was named to the All-National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s West Region first team.
Gaspar, from Vancouver, Wash., batted .415 with six home runs, nine doubles, and 36 runs batted in. During PacWest Conference play, she hit .506.
“Bailey has been such a great addition to the Vulcan family,” UH-Hilo Head Coach Peejay Brun said in a school release. “She kept studying her videos and putting in the extra work to keep getting better until the very end.
Earlier this week, Gaspar was selected to the All-PacWest Second Team. She was also recognized as UH-Hilo’s Female Athlete of the Year.
A total of 11 players from throughout the PacWest Conference were selected to the All-NFCA West Region first and second teams.
