Looking Ahead
Trade winds are forecast to gradually pick up in strength Friday through the rest of the weekend. The moderate trade winds will focus showers over windward areas mainly during nights and mornings. Winds are expected to weaken Monday as another front approaches the islands. Breezy trade winds are expected to return across the state behind the front.

Today we expect partly sunny conditions during the day for windward areas. The Kona side will be mostly sunny to start with clouds building in the afternoon and isolated showers. East winds are forecast around 15 mph with a sea breeze developing in the afternoon for the leeward side. High temperatures from 80° to 85°.

East winds are expected around 15 mph with a land breeze developing and clearing skies. Mostly clear skies are forecast with isolated showers for the Kona side. Scattered showers in windward spots. Low temperatures from 68° to 73°.
