Hawaiian Airlines Hangs On to Most Punctual Airline Status

Hawaiian Airlines completed the month of January as the top-ranked carrier for on-time performance and fewest flight cancellations.

The statics were recently reported in the United States Department of Transportation’s Air Travel Consumer Report for the month of January.

The report ranks 16 of the country’s largest air carriers, including Hawaiian Airlines.

In January, Hawaiian Airlines flights arrived on schedule 91.7 percent of the time. Just four of 6,279 flights were cancelled.

Alaska Airlines and Delta Airlines ranked second and third in on-time arrivals at 87 percent and 85.2 percent, respectively.

Hawaiian Airlines also held the top rank for on-time arrivals in December, with an on-time percentage of 93 percent.

Hawaiian Airlines flies non-stop service from Hawai’i to 11 cities in North America and about 160 flights between the Hawaiian Islands daily.
