Woman Sought for Questioning in Terroristic Threatening Investigation

Twenty-four-year-old Randi-Keli Banagan is being sought by authorities in a first-degree terroristic threatening investigation.

The Hawai’i Police Department reports that Kona Patrol officers responded to a 9:17 p.m. call on Sunday, where they learned that two people drove to the scenic lookout of Kamehameha III Road in Keauhou in a gray or silver van.

A woman, later identified as Banagan, reportedly exited the van and pointed a “black handgun” at a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy.

In addition, a second suspect who police say had their face concealed was reportedly holding a rifle and spoke in what sounded like a male voice before both suspects fled.

Banagan of Captain Cook is described by police as 5-foot-4 and 140 pounds. She has brown eyes and short black hair. Police say she also has a number of tattoos on her neck and arms.
