Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump will receive 11 of the 19 delegates that were up for grabs during Tuesday’s Hawai’i Republican Presidential Caucus.
According to the Hawai’i Republican Party, the amount of delegates awarded to each candidate is based on the percentage of votes each candidate received. Trump earned 43.4 percent of the 15,672 votes cast.
Seven delegates went to Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who received 32.3 percent of ballots cast. Florida Senator Marco Rubio earned the last delegate after receiving 13.2 percent of votes.
The amount of voters who turned out at the GOP caucus exceeded the 10,228 that turned out for the 2012 caucus.
