In celebration of Teen Tech Week at the Kailua-Kona Public Library, the Friends of the Libraries Kona is giving teens the opportunity to win gift cards.

Teen Tech Week 2016 runs from Tuesday, March 8 through Saturday, March 19.

Tweens and teens in grades six through 12 are permitted to enter for the chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card or a $20 iTunes gift card.

Students should pick up an entry form in the Young Adult Section and complete any combination of activities to score points. Participants who earn 1,000 points can return their form in by March 19 to be entered in a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card.

In addition, participants can attend a free “Solar S’mores” program on March 19 at 10:30 a.m. There, students will learn how to build a solar oven and make a s’mores snack to eat. Only the first 15 participants who sign up can attend the program and will be eligible to win a $20 iTunes gift card.

Anyone in need of a sign language interpreter or other accommodation should contact the Kailua-Kona Public library as early as possible at 327-4327.
