A High Surf Warning is posted for the north shore of the Big Island through 6 p.m. Tuesday.
A High Surf Advisory is posted for the west side of the Big Island through 6 p.m. Tuesday.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Tuesday for all Big Island waters.

Looking Ahead
A very large north-northwest swell will continue to impact the aloha state through early Tuesday. Winds are expected to remain light through Wednesday. Another front will move over Kauai and Oahu Thursday, then stall and dissipate. Another very large long period northwest swell is expected to affect the islands from late Wednesday through Thursday. A stronger cold front may reach the islands early next week.
Today
Today we expect mostly cloudy skies for windward areas with scattered showers. The Kona side should get lots of sunshine with afternoon clouds building. Hazy skies are expected. Northeast winds are forecast around 15 mph. High temperatures from 78° to 83°.

Tonight
Northeast winds are expected around 15 mph. Low temperatures from 65° to 70° with mostly cloudy skies and scattered windward showers. Leeward spots should be mostly clear.
