Looking Ahead
A series of weak fronts passing north of the islands throughout the week will result in the disruption of trade winds across the islands at times, with brief periods of land and sea breezes. A strong cold front will bring unsettled weather to the area next weekend, and the coolest airmass of the year will overspread the islands in its wake.
Today
Today we expect partly cloudy skies with sunshine and scattered showers in the afternoon for the Kona side. Windward and mauka areas will likely get showers in the morning with scattered showers for the afternoon. Winds are variable up to 15 mph. High temperatures from 79° to 84°.
UV index at 8 (“very high” exposure level)
Tonight
Variable winds are expected up to 15 mph tonight. Low temperatures from 65° to 70°. Showers are likely for windward areas with isolated leeward showers in the forecast.
