With a vision to perpetuate hula, the ‘Iolani Luahine Hula Festival was born in 2003, with ties to honoring the memory of ‘Iolani Luahine and her contributions to the preservation of hula and Hawaiian culture.

The festival continues into its 14th year, kicking off Friday night at the Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa at Keauhou Bay.

Hula presentations and a challenge to Kumu Hula with a prize for best demonstration of the values of ‘Iolani Luahine, education, and Hawaiian culture will take place.
